I have the honour to transmit for

the signification of His Majesty's pleasure the following

Ordinance entitled:-

An Ordinance to set apart certain Crown Land to

be used as a burial ground for persons

professing the Christian Religion.

The customary report by the Attorney-General is annexed

together with a plan of the area referred to in the

Ordinance.

Enclosure: conclosure 3.

The area shown on the plan com-

-prises what was at one time known as the Protestant

Cemetery, set apart as a burial ground on the authority of

Mr. (afterwards Lord) Stanley's Despatch No. 109 of the

19th. June, 1845, in reply to Sir John Davis' recommenda-

-tion contained in a Despatch No. 75 of 26th. December,

1844, together with some extensions made from time to time

as the use of more ground became necessary. The original
